Children's Pastor
Pastor Jonathan felt God's calling to full-time children's ministry as a child. He grew up learning about Jesus and children's ministry at a church in Minnesota. Pastor Jonathan attended North Central University. He graduated with a degree in Pastoral Ministry with a specialization in Children's Ministry and got married to his wife, Cathy, in 2002. He, then, received his Pastoral License with the Assemblies of God and started working in full-time Children's Ministry. Pastor Jonathan was a Children's Pastor in the Minnesota District for 4 years and felt God's calling to First Coast Christian Center in May, 2006. He and his family made the move from cold Minnesota to sunny Florida and he has been Children's Pastor here since then.
Pastor Jonathan believes that boys and girls can experience God's Presence. In our Kids' Time key Bible verse which is Matthew 19:14, it says, "Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'” In all ministries of Kids' Time, we want to teach boys and girls about Jesus - to help them know that they can come to God now. They do not have to wait until they get older to experience God's Holy Spirit in their lives.
